Russian-born Gandelsman is a founding member of Brooklyn Rider, the string quartet credited by NPR as "recreating the 300-year- old form of string quartet as a vital and creative 21st-century ensemble.” Urkijo, is a native of Bilbao, Spain, and has worked with leading practitioners of Opera and Art Song throughout Europe.
